The Public Transparency Portal Project is an initiative of the PRO BONO ANGOLA ASSOCIATION that aims to fill the lack or inexistence of a governmental mechanism for the provision of public, reliable and correct information on public expenditure and the transparency inherent to said expenditure, in a single site , on the Internet. The portal concentrates in a single place, information on public revenues and expenditures so that all interested parties can access and use this same information, for the most varied purposes.

The purpose of creating the portal is to provide society in general with an alternative mechanism for accessing information related to the public management of the country’s financial resources. Encourage a culture of accountability and parsimonious management of public financial resources.

The Transparency Portal is considered to be an alternative mechanism for accessing information on the public management of financial resources because it is first and foremost a primary duty of the State to provide citizens with access to such information.

As informações que serão disponibilizadas no Portal da Transparência Pública provêm de fontes oficiais, do trabalho que é efectuado pela equipa que gere o Portal, bem como de outras fontes de renomada reputação informativa.

The Public Transparency Portal is a free access website where citizens can find information on how public money is used, as well as information on matters related to public management. Therefore, it is an alternative mechanism for providing official information on public revenues and expenditures, intended for the understanding of the citizen, and available for consultation by experts, researchers, academics, journalists, among others.

The Public Transparency Portal will be available to the public indefinitely.

The Public Transparency Portal will be frequently updated, that is, whenever there is a matter or content of relevant public interest, it will be posted on the portal.
