This is the assessment of Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, which also reflects Norway’s support for Angola’s efforts, particularly President João Lourenço, in mobilizing foreign investment.

Jonas Gahr Store said, in Oslo, capital of Norway, on the sidelines of a meeting with the Angolan President, that the country’s adherence to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative is also very relevant.

This option, he said, puts an end to a previously dominant view of little transparency in the mining industry and in the oil and gas industry, which favors the attraction of more private capital.

“Corruption is bad for the economy, bad for societies, for investments and for bilateral relations, whether in the North, South, East or West. Corruption is an evil that must be fought. this new phase for cooperation and investment promotion between our countries”, he said.

In view of this positive assessment of Angola, the Norwegian Prime Minister guarantees to work with his Angolan counterpart to capitalize on the “good image” that the country has internally and externally to mobilize private capital, but ensure the continuity and reinforcement of cooperation between the countries.
