Access to Public Information for the Construction of an Active Citizenship

Pedro Santa Maria, Freelance Journalist trained in Social Communication for Change at the UNESCO Center for Studies in Haifa, State of Israel, Educator & Social Worker at the University of Zimbabwe, and in International Development Studies at the University of Oslo. local and foreign media, he currently dedicates a large part of his life to social activism, in projects linked to HIV&AIDS, Human Rights, Human and Social Development, he was the lecturer in the Space “Debate à Friday”, promoted by DW where , dealt with the theme “Access to public information for the construction of an active citizenship”, Throughout his explanation, he addressed fundamental concepts of access to information, concepts about public information, types of information, importance of public information for academic purposes, citizens’ rights with respect to information and difficulties in accessing information in Angola.
